At the 2015 IPCPR, Ernesto Padilla debuted three new cigars
in the Padilla brand. The Padilla Corojo, Padilla Criollo, and Padilla San Andres cigars were all showcased at the same time.
Considering that Padilla spent two years under contract with
Oliva Cigar Co., it’s good to see Padilla doing big things independently. For
those two years, Padilla cigars were only distributed by Oliva Cigar Co. The
contract ended in 2015, and Padilla took over distribution. If the Padilla San
Andres cigar is a sign of things to come, the future looks bright for Padilla.
The Padilla San Andres cigar features Aganorsa Nicaraguan
long-fillers. It has a Maduro San Andres wrapper. Made by hand (entubado style)
in the Padilla Honduras Factory (the Raices Cubanas factory), the
medium/full-bodied cigar is something special. The cigar is available in three
vitolas: Robusto, Toro, and Double Toro.
