Alec Bradley Connecticut Isn’t Your Typical Connecticut Cigar

In 2010 and 2011, Alec Bradley launched two consecutive Connecticut shade wrapper cigars. He didn’t leak news about launching any cigars at the 2012 IPCPR, so people were shocked when he came out with yet another Connecticut wrapper cigar- the Alec Bradley Connecticut. Many were wondering why someone would choose to have three Connecticut cigars released for three consecutive years.

After trying the Alec Bradley Connecticut cigar, it’s easier to understand Bradley’s decision. The Connecticut differs greatly from the Alec Bradley Maxx and the American Classic, his other two Connecticut cigars. With a Connecticut shade wrapper from Ecuador, fillers from both Nicaragua and Honduras and Honduran binders, the cigar is nothing like the other two cigars with Connecticut wrappers.

Alec Bradley Connecticut is a mild to medium-bodied cigar. However, it could please full-bodied smokers looking for a mellow smoke. It is very peppery for a Connecticut cigar and is quite complex. Try yours from Cuenca Cigars. You can get them for the best online prices in sizes Nano, Robusto, Toro, Torpedo and Churchill.

Rocky Patel Prohibition Cigars Tell A Story

Rocky Patel Prohibition cigars tell a story. They remind us of a time 90 years ago, when liquor was outlawed and the strict regulation caused people to take matters into their own hands. Moonshine was made in bathtubs and sold in jars and crates.

As a reminder of what once was, the Rocky Patel Prohibition cigar was launched at the 2014 IPCPR. It's packaged as bootleg alcohol would have been. Several cigars are placed in jars and six jars are placed in a crate. The crates are sold with two different types of cigars- three jars contain Prohibition cigars with a San Andres wrapper and three have a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro Wrapper.

Both cigars have the same blend. Featuring some of the best tobacco Nicaragua has to offer, the cigar has a filler and a binder grown on farms in Esteli and Jalapa. The farms are owned by Rocky Patel, and they are produced at the Nicaraguan Tavicusa factory.

The cigar comes highly- recommended; the San Andres Prohibition received a 91 rating from Cigar Aficionado. The cigars come in Toro only, a 6 ½ x 52 size. Get a taste of Prohibition, and buy them for the best online prices from Cuenca Cigars.

Celebrate Life With Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Cigar

Rocky Patel had an interesting start in the cigar industry. At first, he was a Hollywood attorney. He wanted to get into the cigar industry and spent five years working in the industry in Honduras. Doing as many different jobs as he could, he learned a great deal about making excellent cigars. Now, in 2015, he is celebrating his 20th Anniversary in the cigar industry.

When Rocky Patel celebrated ten years in the business, he launched a cigar. It was a big success, and he decided to launch a commemorative cigar to mark his 10th anniversary with Rocky Patel Decade and then his 15th anniversary with Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Cigars. It's no big surprise that he announced the Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary cigar at the 2015 IPCPR.

The 20th Anniversary cigar is everything you could want from a commemorative cigar. Patel worked on this blend for four years. The cigar uses Nicaraguan long-fillers from the Esteli and Jalapa regions, and Honduran long-fillers from the Jamastran region. Finished with a sun grown Honduran wrapper and box-pressed, the cigar is an impressive addition to Rocky Patel's collection.

La Imperiosa Cigars: Take Advantage of A Limited Time Offer

The Las Calaveras cigar was launched as a limited-release cigar in 2014 by Crowned Heads. The Tennessee company saw huge success with this blend- it was sold out within weeks and considered one of the most desired cigars of the year. Due to the cigar's success, Crowned Heads has brought the blend back as a regular production cigar, called La Imperiosa.

La Imperiosa cigars are named after a brand in Cuba from the early 1900s. The similarity isn't only in the name- the artwork is the same too. The La Imperiosa cigar features the same blend as Las Calaveras; long-fillers from Nicaragua and Nicaraguan binders are wrapped in an Ecuador Habano wrapper. The tobacco is grown and harvested at the Garcia farm in Nicaragua, and is of very high quality.

You can get the La Imperiosa cigar in a box of 24. It comes in four different sizes. At Cuenca Cigars, you can take advantage of a great limited time offer (while supplies last). For your purchase of any size box of La Imperiosa, you get a La Imperiosa Sampler.

What happens when you combine the experience of Paredes with Rocky Patel's skill and quality of cigars? You get Tabaquero by Hamlet Paredes. The cigar, launched at the 2015 IPCPR, is a team effort between Patel and Paredes. Patel gave Paredes his first opportunity to use tobacco from a country other than Cuba, and Paredes did not disappoint.

The Tabaquero by Hamlet Paredes has a San Andres wrapper. The wrapper hides binders from two countries- Mexico and Brazil. With filler tobacco from Nicaragua, the cigar showcases the best of everything. The blend is just as complex as some of the well-known Cuban blends, and every bit as flavorful.

A Golden Addition to Nica Puro

The Alec Bradley Nica Puro line of cigars has just made (literally) golden addition to the line. The Alec Bradley Nica Puro Rosado is the second cigar for the line but features a golden Rosado Colorado wrapper.

The Nica Puro line was discussed in 2012, but Alec Bradley fans were kept waiting. By the end of 2012, the cigar hadn't been launched. In 2013, it was finally made available. Bradley used all that time to perfect the blend and make the Nica Puro cigar truly special.

Nica Puro was highly regarded and received excellent ratings. For this reason, a second cigar in the line was eagerly anticipated. Enthusiasts were finally appeased when Alec Bradley launched Alec Bradley Nica Puro Rosado at the 2015 IPCPR.

The Nica Puro line is all about pure Nicaraguan tobacco and the excellence that comes with it. The Nica Puro Rosado cigar is no exception. The cigar has a Nicaraguan double-binder. Rich History of the Montecristo Brand In 80th Anniversary Cigar

Cigar factories in Cuba back in the 1930's were an interesting place. To make the monotony of the day easier to bear, professional readers would read requested books to the workers. The Count of Monte Cristo was one of the most popular books read by the readers. For this reason, the Montecristo brand was named in honor of the beloved novel.

Just as the novel is still popular today, Montecristo cigars have been going strong for 80 years. To celebrate this accomplishment, the Montecristo 80th Anniversary cigar was created. It was launched at the 2015 IPCPR trade show and is every bit as unique as the Montecristo brand.

The 80th Anniversary cigar features ligero and viso fillers from Nicaragua, as well as one very unique filler. It has Dominican Pilotico tobacco, grown from Cuban seeds brought over from Cuba by the one and only Pepe Mendez. The seeds are Dominican-grown, from the Navarrete region. Known for producing strong and full-flavored tobacco, this region is highly regarded. Finished with a Dominican binder and an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, the cigar is a masterpiece.

It's no surprise that the 3000 boxes of Montecristo 80th Anniversary cigars sold out after the first day of the trade show. You can still get yours for the best online prices from Cuenca Cigars.

Henry Clay Tattoo Cigars: A Winning Collaboration

Henry Clay cigars are unique in that they have been around since the 1800's. 2015 IPCPR Reveals Two New El Centurion Cigar Sizes

Launched in 2007 by Jose “Pepin” Garcia of My Father Cigars, El Centurion cigars were the first limited edition cigars produced by the Garcia’s. Getting your hands on the cigar was no easy task- there were only 2,550 boxes produced by the factory in Miami. The cigar retailed for about $14 and featured a rare corojo wrapper.

The El Centurion line didn’t end there. In 2013, My Father Cigars celebrated its tenth year in the cigar business. They launched the El Centurion line as part of regular production. This time, the cigar was made with a few differences from the original.

The 2013 El Centurion, which is still available today, has a ’98 Criollo wrapper and features four exceptional tobaccos from Nicaragua. One of these tobaccos, Sancti Spiritus, is quite rare. The cigar is medium to full-bodied and has sweet and spicy notes.

Bringing El Centurion into the limelight yet again, the Garcia family launched two new sizes of the cigar in the 2015 IPCPR. In addition to having Belicoso, Robusto and Toro Grande sizes, My Father Cigars also has Corona box-pressed and Toro box-pressed. Try them out yourself for the best online prices from Cuenca Cigars.

Find Your Sacred Place With Alec Bradley Sanctum

Alec Bradley knows how to build anticipation. At the 2014 IPCPR, Bradley announced news of a new blend- the Alec Bradley Sanctum. Eager cigar enthusiasts were forced to wait, as the cigar wasn't debuted until the 2015 IPCPR. Fortunately, it was worth the wait.

The Alec Bradley Sanctum cigar has a blend created by the Executive Vice President of Alec Bradley, Ralph Montero. “Sanctum” translates to “a sacred or holy place” in Latin, and the cigar lives up to its name. It features a corojo wrapper from Honduras, Nicaraguan and Costa Rican fillers and Costa Rican binders. The cigar has a sleek appearance, sweet notes and offers clean tobacco flavors. With such exquisite features, it takes you to your sacred place.

The construction of this cigar is unique. Removing the band from the cigar doesn't cause any damage to the wrapper; the cigar has a double band. A top band is attached to a bottom band with goma, and the bottom is attached to the cigar only by tension. This leaves the wrapper in perfect condition when you remove the band.

When the Sanctum cigar was first announced in 2014, there was talk of five sizes. However, there are only four sizes available:

You can find your own sacred place and try one for the best online prices from Cuenca Cigars.
